Vision
Canadian Peacemakers International, (CPI) seeks to develop models of peacemaking and peace building that address the causes of conflict in Central America by providing alternatives to revolution and war that have characterized attempts of change in the past.
Mission
CPI helps poor peasant families acquire their own property and provides educational and health programming that enables the poor to learn the skills needed to improve their lives. This mission is predicated on the realization that the poverty in Honduras is rooted in the inability of the poor to get land or other means of production to enable them to earn a decent living and provide for the future of their families. Ignorance and illness contribute to this poverty.
